Engaging men and boys in ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a key goal both nationally and globally. The National Policy on Eradication of FGM 2019 identifies engaging men and boys as one of its top priority areas. In Kenya, FGM is deeply rooted in cultural and social norms that promote its continuation. While stakeholders have implemented various interventions to end the practice, men and boys have not been adequately engaged.

This guideline on engaging men and boys to end Female Genital Mutilation was developed to provide a framework and guide to stakeholders on how to engage men and boys in the campaign against FGM.
