Despite existence of global and regional commitments and treaties on gender equality such as Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), The 1995 Beijing Platform for Action, The 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), The Maputo Protocol, The SDG5 among others, member states in Africa who have ratified the treaties and commitments lack relevant policies and legislations that can help in achieving the intended outcome

Budget Advocacy

Full implementation of existing policies remain a big challenge due to lack of budgets to finance them. We advocate for budget allocation by governments and development partners to aid in full implementation these policies at Regional, National and Sub-National levels

Advocate for Policy Formulation

Through strategic partnerships, we advocate for policy formulation at AU, Regional, National and Sub-National level that promote gender equality.
